If you are thinking of going to University full time you may need to look in to renting accommodation. Many Universities have their own campus and halls of residents, for instance the University of Sunderland has it’s own residents for students.
However if you wish to stay outside of the Universities grounds there are many agencies and estate agencies available to you. Any student renting or thinking of renting accommodation whilst at university are entitled to the same rights as any other tenant. Once a place is found a deposit would need to be paid to secure the accommodation, and a contract be drawn up between the landlord and tenant.
Most halls of resident have their own cooking, and laundry facilities. Most first year students are offered single study bedrooms, which all have staff working and living at halls 24 hours a day. Rent for these are usually quite reasonable and Internet is usually free.
Most Universities will have their details of renting accommodation on their own websites including rent and how to apply.
